Around Queens: Jazz in The Sky

This year’s Jazz in The Sky event will include live music performances by Keith “The Captain” Gamble and the “Mod Society”, delightful food, celebratory dancing, and of course, spirits and cheer. Flushing House is home to more than 220 older adults. We have served approximately 5000 older adults and their families since we opened our doors in 1974. Flushing Houses' mission is ”To provide a safe, enjoyable, and affordable retirement experience for our residents.” All proceeds of Jazz In The Sky support the George Nussbaum Fund. This fund was established by United Adult Ministries’ board member, George Nussbaum. This special endowment was established to help subsidize residents who have fallen on hard financial times. We receive no government funds for this effort. Only your gift, and support from others, make it possible to fulfill United Adult Ministries' mission: “To offer older adults hope through expanding opportunities and practical services to live confidently in today’s world.”
